The Cannondale Flash Carbon 2 is one of three Flash Carbon models. Weighing at 16 pounds, the Flash Carbon units are efficient, lightweight, and built for mountain biking and racing. The Carbon 2 is the most affordable in the batch, as it incorporates a weaker FSA V-Drive BB30 crankset with SRAM X-7 shifters and SRAM X-9 derailleurs.

The crankset lends tremendously to the unit’s lower price, without necessarily giving up on stiffness and durability. Universal across the whole Flash Carbon line is the use of continuous-fiber technology, which maximizes torsional stiffness and minimizing weight. This lends ultra-efficiency to the frame, as well as a point-and-shooting steering.
