Product Shot 1The Scalpel 4 is a performance mountain bike from Cannondale's Scalpel Series that is designed for XC racing.  The bike is more lightweight than the 2009 series, featuring Cannondale's Scalpel Alloy frame with magnesium links and carbon layup.

  It includes a Lefty Speed Carbon fork with a Rock Shox Monarch 2.1 rear shock for impact absorption.  The Scalpel 4 has a drivetrain comprised of Shimano Deore and XT components along with Avid Elixir 5 disc brakes.  It also offers Sun rims and Schwalbe Racing Ralph tires for traction and control.  The bike is available in a glossy Magnesium White finish.
