The Scalpel Carbon 2 is a performance mountain bike from Cannondale's Scalpel Series that is designed for XC racing. The bike is lighter in weight than the standard Scalpel bikes, featuring Cannondale's Scalpel Carbon frame with magnesium links and carbon layup.

It includes a Lefty Speed Carbon fork with a Rock Shox Monarch 3.1 rear shock for impact absorption. The Scalpel Carbon 2 has a drivetrain comprised of SRAM X9 and X0 components along with Avid Elixir CR Carbon disc brakes. It also offers DT Swiss rims and Schwalbe Racing Ralph tires for traction and control. The bike is available in a glossy Jet Black finish with Race Red accents.
