Cannondale Six Carbon 3
$2,000.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Overall construction is rock solid - all-carbon design provides true durability with sufficient response. Ideal for racing and triathlon applications - high-end craftsmanship provides optimal handling at high speeds. Stock parts compliment each other wonderfully - many users will likely choose against upgrading or switching out components.
The Cons:Stock seat is virtually unusable - thin and narrow with very minimal padding. Shifting may be dodgy/inconsistent - dangerous for inexperienced users, especially at higher speeds.
The Cannondale Six Carbon 3 is a no-nonsense competitive racing bicycle featuring a full carbon chain and seat stay triangle, all the way to the dropouts. It shares many of the features of the Elite Road, while maintaining a much more budget-friendly price.

As the premier model in the series, the Carbon 3 utilizes an FSA Gossamer non-BB30 crank with Shimano Ultegra SL shifters and Shimano Ultegra/Dura-Ace derailleurs. The Gossamer is a lighter and stiffer competitor to the Shimano Compact, as it is so rigid as to maintain functionality for a long time without becoming weak and distorted. Universal across the Six Carbon line is a Six Carbon BB30 lightweight frame that combined with the oversized tapered head tube allowed for greater steering control and ultra-precise tracking.
