The Slice 5 was designed as a step-up from the Slice 4. It maintains its predecessor’s Gossamer crankset, but adds along superior Shimano 105 derailleurs and Shimano Dura-Ace shifters. The benefit to the improved shifters is that they provide a softer/more-sensitive feel when shifting. Suffice it to say, they allow for improved performance. Included also in the Slice 5 — as well as its peers — is the Slice Active Vibration Damping system, which soaks up ‘road buzz’ so that riders don’t have to. Note also the Slice Carbon frame, which is lightweight, but maintains a powerful stiffness-to-weight ratio.
