The HI-MOD 2 is an upscale model in the batch, as it incorporates Mavic Aksium componentry (rims/hubs/spokes) with a powerful SRAM Force TT crankset and SRAM shifters/derailleurs. The upgraded crankset is 10% stiffer, 20%, and provides 300% more ankle clearance than previous units. Included also in the HI-MOD 2 — as well as its peers — is the Slice Active Vibration Damping system, which soaks up ‘road buzz’ so that riders don’t have to. Note also the Slice Carbon frame, which is lightweight, but maintains a powerful stiffness-to-weight ratio.
