The ergonomic grip of the 6061 Butted Aluminum handlebar helps to make the ride comfortable. At 18.22 pounds, the F5 Special Edition is a lightweight ride. The grips of this bike are Felt's Gel Ribbon Cork Tape grips. The brakes of the F5 Special Edition are Shimano Super SLR Dual Pivot brakes with Cartridge Brake Shoes. These brakes are able to make quick stops when needed. This bike differs from the lower cost F5 model in that it has a team issue finish, Swiss SL butted spokes (instead of plain stainless steel), and AeroR4 Sealed Bearing CNC Machined 7075 Aluminum front and rear hub with Cr-Mo Quick Release Skewer (instead of plain forged aluminum front and rear hubs). However, this bike lacks the higher cost F4 model's Shimano aluminum spokes, Shimano aluminum front and rear hub, more premium Rubino Pro Folding tires, and lower weight (only 17.45 pounds), which helps it to be a faster bike.
