The Felt F5 is an upper mid-cost road bike. Felt promotes this bike as being equally adept at city limit sprints or long alpine climbs. At 18.22 pounds, the F5 is a lightweight ride. The frame of this ten-speed is Felt's HM High Modulus Modular carbon fiber frame with 3KP Finish.

The fork of the F5 is also High Modulus carbon, which helps this bike to be durable. This fork comes with a compression device, allowing you to fine-tune performance. The saddle and seat post are also carbon-based, adding to the solidness of this bike. The 6061 Butted Aluminum handlebar of the F5 has an ergonomic drop, which helps to make the ride comfortable. The grips of this bike are Felt's Gel Ribbon Cork Tape grips, which help you to keep a stiff grip. The brakes of the F5 are Shimano Super SLR Dual Pivot brakes with Cartridge Brake Shoes. These brakes are able to make quick stops when needed. This bike differs from the higher cost F5 Special Edition model in that the F5 Special Edition has a team issue finish, Swiss SL butted spokes (instead of plain stainless steel), and AeroR4 Sealed Bearing CNC Machined 7075 Aluminum front and rear hub with Cr-Mo Quick Release Skewer (instead of plain forged aluminum front and rear hubs). The Felt F5 road bike comes in a glossy red and clear finish.
