As an upgrade from the original Advanced 1, the Advanced 2 model utilizes a superior Shimano Ultegra 6700 drivetrain with a directional-design chain with inner and outer plates to optimize shifting over the chainset and cassette. Included also is a lighter giant contact handlebar/stem and Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheelset. Overall, the Advanced 2 certainly functions better than its predecessor, but is still considered an entry-level racing bike not necessarily suited for long-term professional use.
