The XTC Alliance 29er 2 is the lower-cost model in the 2010 Alliance 29er series from Giant. This bike has been specifically designed for quick-handling. It has a short headtube length for lower handlebar placement, which in turn helps eliminate wheel flop at low speeds.

The frame is constructed of composite and aluminum, and features a convertible rear dropout that allows single-speed or belt drive additions. Compared to the 29er 1, this mountain bike features a Marzocchi Forty-Niner TST2 tapered-steerer fork, Shimano Deore shifting, Shimano Alivio disc brakes, and Tracker 15mm thru-axle hub wheels with stainless spokes on a Giant P29 rim. The seat post is of the pivot variety, but may be changed if the rider desires a more stable design. Pedals are not included. The Giant XTC Alliance 29er 2 has a MSRP of $2075.
