The Jamis Dakar XCR Pro 2011 model is the second of three cross-country racing mountain bikes, and is the model above the Dakar XCR Race. This bike has basically the same geometry and suspension setup as its more basic version, with Fox front and rear suspensions, both offering 100 mm of travel.

It is ideal for cross-country racing on tracks that don't require a ton of suspension travel. The main upgrades over the XCR Race are that this bike's frame is made entirely of carbon fiber, and the entire drivetrain, brakes, and bottom bracket are Shimano Deore XT, rather than SLX. This is a high end model and targets competitive cyclists. Other features include Mavic rims, Geax tires and DT Swiss rims. The only model above this in terms of Jamis' XC bikes is the Dakar XCR Team.
