Kona Dawg Deluxe

The Kona Dawg Deluxe is a high-end back trail mountain bike similar to the Kona Dawg. The Dawg Deluxe sports a number of improvements over the Dawg, mostly by way of upgraded parts (e.g., Fox Float RP2 rear shock as opposed to the Dawg's Fastrax ARL) but its most important upgrade is its Scandium frame construction (as opposed to the Dawg's 7005 aluminum).

Otherwise, the Dawg Deluxe sports all of the same enhancement technologies as the Dawg, such as the Drop Out Performance Enhancement (DOPE) floating brake system and magnesium rockers.

The Dawg Deluxe's Scandium frame composition provides unrivaled strength an performance over typical 6061 and 7005 aluminum alloy construction, rating twice as strong and 10-15% lighter than both. Its DOPE floating brake system allows for fully active suspension, even when under full brake, something that is especially beneficial in harsh downhill environments. Additionally, the Dawg Deluxe's magnesium rockers allow for improved rear suspension performance at a lower weight.
