There are changes to the geometry, like more standover room, set back seat post and a mote tapered steer tube, which help improve efficiency while climbing. Many of the components are different as well, as the 2011 version uses an exclusively SRAM X9 drivetrain. The wheelset is also Easton instead of Kore, and the hyrdraulic disc brakes are Avid Elixir CRs instead of Shimano SLX. The Hei-Hei 2-9 SE is a variation of this model and features the same frame and geometry with slightly downgraded components, for a lower price point. See below.
