Kona Mahuna (2011)

 Kona's Mahuna 2011 model is an entry-level 29er mountain bike geared to first-time 29er and single-track purchasers. It has a low price point comparable to the Unit model, but is fairly different in that it has a full drivetrain instead of being a single-speed and also has a front suspension.

It has basic components, like Shimano Altus front derailleur and SRAM X4 rear derailleur and shifters. It uses disc brakes and has a 100mm Suntour front suspension, formula hubs and Alex rims. The Mahuna is the most basic of the 29ers that features a front suspension. Its frame is made of butted aluminum and the geometry is optimized for single-track efficiency.
