Kona Nunu (2011)

 Kona's Nunu 2011 is an entry-level mountain bike that falls in the mid-range of the Hardtail XC lineup. It is intended for first-time cross-country mountain bike buyers and has a relatively low price point, with upgraded components over the more basic Lana'I and Fire Mountain models.

Main features include an aluminum butted frame, RockShox Dart 2 front suspension, and Shimano Alivio shifters and derailleurs. It also uses hydraulic disc brakes, and the wheels have Formula and Shimano hubs. Many of the parts are Kona's house brand, which keeps the cost down. The Blast, Cinder Cone, and Caldera models all resemble this one, but offer upgraded components.
