Kona Shred (2011)

Kona's Shred 2010 model is an entry-level dirt jump or trail bike with a front suspension and street-style frame, with decent sandover height and aluminum tubing to absorb impact. The front suspension is Marzocchi's Dirt Jumper 3 with 100mm of travel.

It has mostly entry-level components, and is quite similar to the 2010 version. The only real upgrade is the inclusion of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes instead of Hayes mechanical ones. Like the 2010 this bike has Alex rims with 26-inch Maxxis tires. It has the lowest price point of the Dirt Jump/Trail bikes and is marketed as a good introduction to dirt trail riding.
