Product Shot 1 Kona's Steely 2011 model is the first of its kind and is a mid-range bike intended for trail riding, and its main differentiating feature is a steel frame, as opposed to the others' aluminum. Steel is more durable and rigid than aluminum, though heavier.

This bike has an adjustable range RockShox Tora fork and frame geometry somewhere between a classic mountain bike and a dirt jumper. It has the second highest price point of the Dirt Jumper/Trail series, though it is not as well suited for dirt jumping. It features a Shimano Deore set of derailleurs and shifters, and Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes.
