Kona Tanuki DL (2011)

Kona's Tanuki DL 2011 model is a mid-range mountain bike, and an upgraded version of the standard Tanuki. Like the standard it is intended for all-purpose trail and more demanding XC conditions. The main upgrades over the Tanuki are a RockShox Sektor Solo Air fork, upgraded Avid brakes (Elixir 5), and a full Shimano MT15 wheelset.

Some other individual components have been upgraded. This bike ha a butted aluminum frame with 130 mm of rear travel, and a Kona/Fastrax AF2 rear air suspension. It has a mid-range price point, and is a sort of compromise between the 2+2 DL and Abra Cadabra models in terms of purpose. This bike has a larger and more fluid suspension than the 2+2 DL but less range of motion than the Abra Cadabra.
