Mongoose 2011 Salvo Sport

 Mongoose's 2011 Salvo Sport is a mountain bike targeted at entry-level buyers who want a dual suspension in order to ride trails requiring some give, but is priced for those on a budget. This bike has mainly budget or proprietary components.

These include a Suntour XCM front suspension with 120mm of travel, and a Kind Shock spring rear suspension. The frame has trail geometry and Tektro mechanical disc brakes on both wheels. The shifters are SRAM X4's, as is the rear derailleur, with a Shimano Altus front derailleur, and Suntour crankarms. Formula hubs, Alex rims and Kenda Komodo tires make up the wheelset. Most other components are proprietary.
