Mongoose Pro Wing Comp
$399.99
Released April, 2006
The Pros:Very easy to assemble - most users will be able to configure the bike in approximately 30 minutes. Aluminum materials provide a smooth, consistent ride - handles well without feeling cheap. Fantastic overall quality for the price point - outperforms higher-end competitors from Trek and Diamondback.
The Cons:Shifters may require additional adjustment - inexperienced users may need to seek professional assistance. Seemingly false-advertised - listed as a 24-speed model when in fact only 21 speeds are available.
The Pro Wing Comp dual suspension Mountain Bike is a lower mid-range offering from Mongoose and has been designed for riding on both trail and mountain terrain. Featuring a Spinner Grind 1 front suspension fork with 70 millimeters of travel to quiet the chatter of rougher terrain, coupled with an RST-22 rear coil shock, the Pro Wing Comp accommodates bumpy rides without sacrificing durability.
