Norco Kokanee (2011)

The 2011 Norco Kokanee is the lowest end offering from Norco's XC Hardtails series of performance racing mountain bikes designed to offer relatively lightweight bikes that are durable enough to withstand long term riding through rough terrain.

Taking a different approach to the intended riding of the other series members, the Kokanee sacrifices its XC racing potential for improved trail and city riding. The double butted frame is comprised of the same 6061 alloy as the mid-range members, but is coupled with a SR Suntour XCR-LO fork with lock-out capabilities to reduce the travel of the fork and increase the efficiency of riding over smooth terrains. A Shimano 27 speed drivetrain that features a Deore rear derailleur provides smooth transition between gears and easier, more proportionate energy expenditure.
