Norco Nitro (2011)

The 2011 Norco Nitro is a mid-range racing mountain bike from Norco's XC-Hardtails series designed to provide lightweight performance and capability, as well as long term durability against rough all terrain riding.

As the exact middle of the 7 bike line, the Nitro lacks the ultralight benefits of the carbon framed members, but utilizes the same custom hydroformed double butted 6061 alloy frame as the more pricey Fireball and still weighs in under 28 pounds. The RockShox Recon Gold TK coil with 100mm travel fork dampens the stress of rougher terrains and allows for intuitive feeling and handling in even highly physically demanding landscapes. The Shimano 27 speed drivetrain features an XT rear derailleur akin to the Fireball as well, providing smooth shifting and subsequently more efficient riding.
