R.T. suspension joint that helps improve pedalling efficiency. its suspensions themselves are RockShox Recon TK in the front and Ario 2.1 in the rear, both steps down from the other models. The drivetrain is more basic, using Deore shifters and front derailleur with an SLX rear and FSA cranks. The disc brakes are Avid Elixir 3's, both front and rear, with the same levers. The hubs are Deore 525's and this models tires are Kenda Small Block 8's instead of the others' Rocket Rons. Like the other Phasers this model's range of use is limited to XC race or single-track, with some trail capabilities. It is, however, about 4.5 lbs heavier than the Phaser 2.
