Specialized Sirrus Expert

The Specialized Sirrus Expert is a flat-bar road bike that provides a compromise between the low weight of Specialized's high end road bikes with more comfortable geometry. It comes with an Carbon fork, integrated headset and a Specialized Elite-Set 3D forged 4 bolt stem that is adjustable to 4 positions.

The frame is made from E5 aluminum, with carbon seatstays and Zertz inserts. The carbon stays reduceweight as well as providing a more comfortable ride. Combined with the vibration dampening Zertz inserts, the Sirrus Expert is the top of the line model in the Sirrus model line. Mini V-brakes allow for good mud clearance and wheels are made with Mavic CXP-22s aluminum rims that have CNC machined sidewalls for consistent braking.

A Shimano 105 rear derailleur and an 10 speed cassette (12-27t) provide good performance at a reasonable cost and Body Geometry Comfort Grips on the handlebar provide a comfortable grip for long rides. The front triple chainring is a 50x39x30t, which means the bike has 30 gears and will be able to handle steep hills and fast descents. Tires are Specialized All Condition Armadillo Elite 700x28c, with a kevlar bead and 120 TPI (threads per inch) for enhanced puncture resistance.
