Specialized Stumpjumper Marathon 29

The Specialized Stumpjumper Marathon 29 is a premium option in Specialized's Stumpjumper line of mountain bikes. Specialized promotes the Stumpjumper series as being lean, lightweight hardtail mountain bikes.

The M5 alloy frame, which has a large part in the bike's light weight, has special forged dropouts that allow you to switch to single speed (from the initial 9-speed setting). The S-Works Fast Trak LK 2.0" tires are designed with speed in mind, so that you can quickly cover lots of territory. The custom DT Swiss wheels have 29" rims and sealed cartridge bearings. The Marathon 29's Custom Avid Ultimate hydraulic brakes have ultra-stiff caliper bodies and carbon brake lever blades, which will give you lots of control over quick stops. The Fox F890RL fork, which was designed specifically for 29" wheel bikes, is lightweight and adustable. The most unique aspect of the Specialized Starjumper series is that they do not come with pedals.
