The Specialized Tarmac Elite Apex is a mid-range road bike for enthusiasts. It uses a FACT IS 8r carbon SL2 frame designed to be light and stiff for good control, with a tapered head tube and elliptical seatstays for better aerodynamics while still staying within compliance.
A matching FACT carbon fork is also used for light and stiff response, and uses a tapered steerer with a 12K weave construction for extra strength. The ergonomically designed aluminum handlebar is built to handle the weight of the rider pressing down on it. SRAM Apex 10-speed shifters are used with "double tap" technology that makes it intuitive and easy to switch gears. The seatpost is made of stiff carbon to ensure proper power transfer.
