It is an upgrade to the Fuel EX 7 since it is equipped with proprietary DRCV shock technology for impact absorption. The Fuel EX 8 features a drivetrain made with Shimano parts and includes Trek's Active Braking Pivot for better performance than a hardtail mountain bike. It also offers a Bontrager wheelset for traction at high speeds and has both front and rear suspension systems for high shock absorption. The bike has a suggested retail price of $2300.
