The most notable feature that sets this apart from other FX bikes is the Ride + electric motor and battery which boosts the riders power letting them pedal farther, faster, and with less effort and helps with hills or pulling a trailer. For a cofortable ride, the FX+ features a Flex Form saddle and Bontrager Ergo grips. It features 9-speed Shimano Deore shifters with Shimano Deore front and Shimano Deor LX rear derailleurs. Other parts from Bontrager are used such as the tires, handlebars and stem. It also features a Bontrager Nebula carbon fork with Clix dropouts, not seen on lowest models. The Trek FX+ is also in women's models as the Trek FX+ WSD. Both men and women's models are available in FX Alpha Black Aluminum frame in sizes varying from 15 - 22.5 inches and 15 or 17 ìnches respectively.
