The drivetrain has been modified from the 6.5 model to use a Shimano Ultegra 11-25 or compact 11-28. The handlebars and stem have both been replaced with Bontrager Race XXX Lite Carbon parts as well.
Many of the best features of the Trek Madone 6.5 remain the same here, however. The frame is a DuoTrap compatible OCLV Red Carbon, and the fork is a Bontrager Race XXX Lite. The saddle is a Bontrager inForm Race X Lite on a carbon seatmast cap, and the breakset is Shimano Dura-Ace with Shimano Dura-Ace STI levers.
